That the Port Macquarie-Hastings Sports Council: • Note the information provided in the proposed sporting fees and charges 2025/2026 presentation. • Discussed the proposed draft sporting field fees and models. The proposal outlines several charging options for sports facilities: - Facility-Specific Charge – A tailored fee applied individually to each sports facility. - Per Field Model – Charges are based on the number of fields used. - Per-Member Charge – A fee assessed based on the number of individual members. With an additional fee applicable only to clubs with more than 100 members. • Note Council is to undertake further community engagement with local sporting clubs on the proposed funding models. • Note that Council is to present a sporting facilities usage fees report and an associated engagement plan to a future Ordinary Meeting of Council, incorporating input from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Sports Council, before its consideration in any future Operational Plan or Budget process. • Note further feedback on the proposed sporting fees and charges 2025/2026 be sent to Joel Heise at Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. • Note that Council confirmed changes to sporting fees and charges will not be included in the 2025/2026 fees and charges • Note that a further update will be provided at the next meeting. |
